| Established in 1982 in the back of a station wagon, Dynamite is the longest-running independent record store in Western Massachusetts. Expect to spend some quality browse time in our stacks! We carry over 10,000 titles on CD and as many on LP, both new and used, including newly pressed limited edition 180 gram vinyl reissues.
Everything is here: jazz, classical, R&B, funk and soul, country and bluegrass, psych-folk and psych from around the world, reggae, hip hop, international musics, electronic, and all things rock (indie, punk, post-punk, new-wave, metal, prog, pop). If you're a DJ, we have rare mix CDs, break collections, 12" singles past and present, and record carriers.
Our famous $1 bin holds over 2500 albums and includes more cool stuff than most stores keep in their regular full-price stock. We also have a huge selection of inexpensive used cassettes and 45s, including shelves full of 10-cent singles (making it easy for you to restock your jukebox) and special collectibles. We carry new and used DVDs, too. Our stock storewide is replenished daily, and don't forget, you can bring in your old LPs (and CDs and DVDs) for cash or trade.
As always, you can listen to any used CD or LP in the store before you buy, and you can also listen to the majority of unopened/new CDs on our TouchStand machine just by scanning the bar code.
We also sell turntables, record cleaners, blank cassettes and CDs, jewel cases, paper and plastic LP sleeves and other audio accessories, posters, buttons and stickers, punk patches and more. |
